The World Water Forum (WWF) takes place every three years and it represents the world biggest water-related event. The WWF is organised by the World Water Council (WWC) – of which the Swiss Water Partnership (SWP) is a member – and the host country. The WWF mobilizes the various sectors of society to strengthen action for solution to water management worldwide.
The next edition will take place in Brasília from 18-23 March 2018. The organisation of the Forum is composed of four processes – thematic, regional, political, and citizen – as well as from the newly created sustainability process. In addition, an exhibition space will be held. The thematic process focuses on 6 theme and 3 cross-cutting issues.
As in the previous edition in Korea, the Swiss Water Partnership (SWP) will participate in the processes towards and during the forum, mainly focusing on the thematic, citizen and regional processes. Possibilities to participate in the exhibition are also being explored.
The organisation of the forum is moving ahead fast. The program of the WWF will be mainly shaped until end of June. The questions of this short survey aim to identify the intentions and modalities of participation of the members at the WWF. This should support the work of the Secretariat in coordinating the participation, supporting members if needed and advocating to allow members to have an active role in the various processes. Therefore, please answer to this survey rapidly.
In case of questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the SWP Secretariat (firstname.lastname@example.org).
