The 2024 national report is now online! Corentin Chofflon investigated how climate change is disrupting water systems in alpine huts — a timely study rooted in Swiss realities
Corentin Chofflon won the Stockholm Junior Water Prize | Switzerland 2024 with a project focused on a very local yet highly topical issue: the impact of climate change on water supply systems in alpine huts across French-speaking Switzerland. His findings reveal how warming temperatures are altering spring flow and storage capacity, challenging water availability in high-altitude shelters.
Corentin went on to represent Switzerland at the international final in Stockholm, where he engaged with young researchers from around the world. His story, and those of past winners, show how the prize can open doors and foster meaningful exchange between youth and the Swiss water sector.
